On YOUR blog, write down the names of the people you commented on and address the following prompts:
What stands out to you from their experiences? What experiences do you have in common? What contrasts do you see? What questions do you have?
Benny Jimenez: Benny’s internship was different. Located in New York and sitting in on UN Security Council meetings is an impressive opportunity to have received, and I'm really happy he got it! His experience is in a field that is hard to get into, and sophisticated while very important. We both travelled for our internships, which I think is pretty cool. The obvious oppositions are location, but another aspect would include our mission. I'm focused more on people, he's focused more in governmental relations. My question to you:
If you could have only seen one meeting, (out of all of them) which one would it have been?8
Nathan Brown: Nathan is working hands on at a clinic. That's pretty cool! He is getting valuable experience as well as developing skills he may very well use in the future. Something we share, is the mission of aiding people. We are both attempting to help, but in different ways. Contrasts include the way in which we help, where we help, and how we help. My question to you is:
Single most shocking experience?
Kenneth Arnold: What stands out to me in Kenneth’s internship is who he is helping. Yes it may seem as just “more kids” but that is the most beautiful aspect about it. Kids need the most head starts they can get, and Kenneth is giving so many 4th graders happiness, joy, developed skills, and a good time at school - that's incredible. As far as similarities go, well we both helped elementary ids! On the page of contrast, different locations. My question to you is:
Describe a moment where you saw that ‘fire’ in a kids eyes.
